Intervention and taking in the animal
The foundation takes in animals requiring help, secures them and organises the first actions when quick response and safety matter most.
Morusek Foundation – Regain Hope helps homeless, abandoned and harmed animals, and bases its everyday work on real support for the shelter in Skaryszew, treatment, preparation for adoption and improving the living conditions of animals in its care.
The story of Morusek Foundation – Regain Hope began with one dog. One day, a dog came to the shelter. He lay down at the entrance, curled up and waited quietly. He was exhausted and without hope.
In his eyes there was immense sadness and resignation, as if he had stopped believing that anyone could still help him. That is how we found him. We named him Morusek. Between him and the people who cared for him, an extraordinary bond was born — built on trust, care and the promise that he would never be alone again.
His story became the symbol of everything we fight for today. Morusek reminded us that even in the saddest eyes, hope may still remain. From that hope, Morusek Foundation – Regain Hope was born.
Our everyday work focuses on helping animals — from interventions and taking in new animals, through comprehensive treatment, to the adoption process. We run fundraisers that allow us to finance food and medical care. The strength of our foundation lies in close cooperation with volunteers, donors and a trusted network of foster homes.
The homepage shows the outcome of this work. Here you can see what it is truly made of — from the first intervention, through treatment and care, to responsible adoption and further support.
The foundation takes in animals requiring help, secures them and organises the first actions when quick response and safety matter most.
Veterinary care, treatment and rehabilitation are among the most important stages, because many animals come to the foundation in poor physical and mental condition.
Before an animal goes to a new home, it needs time, stability and proper preparation. The foundation carries out adoptions in Poland and abroad.
Fundraisers for food, treatment and improving living conditions, together with cooperation with volunteers, foster homes and donors, help sustain this work every day.
The foundation’s name is not only symbolic. It reminds us that behind every intervention there is a specific animal that needs safety, treatment and patient care.
That is why the foundation’s work is focused on real, everyday help: responding to reports, improving living conditions, preparing animals for adoption and looking for the best possible homes.
The foundation’s work is guided by simple principles: first the welfare of the animal, then responsible decisions, consistent care and the search for the best possible solution.
The foundation’s mission is not only to rescue homeless, sick and abandoned animals, but also to restore their safety, health and chance for a calm, dignified life.
The foundation sees every animal as a sentient being deserving respect, care and safety.
Actions are taken that genuinely improve animals’ lives, with the best possible solution in mind for every animal in care.
Everyday help means heart, time and a great deal of work put into rescuing animals that often have no one but the foundation.
Even the most harmed animal can regain trust and find a safe, loving home.
Behind the foundation are real people who combine daily animal care, adoption organisation, interventions and international cooperation. At this stage, we present two key people who lead and develop the work of Morusek Foundation.
Kasia is the founder of Morusek Foundation – Regain Hope and has been actively involved in helping animals from the very beginning of its work.
On a daily basis, she works at the Shelter for Homeless Animals in Skaryszew, where she participates in animal care, socialisation, behaviour assessment and preparation for adoption.
She is involved in interventions in cases of animal abuse, actions reducing animal homelessness and improving living conditions. She also creates adoption descriptions and photographs that help present animals’ characters reliably and increase their chances of finding a responsible home.
Wiola serves as President of the International Management Board of Morusek – Neue Hoffnung and has been actively involved in helping animals in Poland and abroad since 2018.
She is responsible for organising adoption processes, coordinating transports and preparing descriptions that present the character and needs of animals as accurately as possible.
A particular area of her work is the development of a foster-home network and international cooperation, including with Hunde Hilfe Polen. She also has qualifications in animal protection and a licence for animal transport, allowing her to act in accordance with applicable regulations and safety standards.
Helping animals knows no borders. Morusek Foundation – Regain Hope is built on international cooperation, joining forces in Poland and abroad to rescue animals effectively and change their fate.
A key role is played by Morusek – Neue Hoffnung — the foundation’s international branch, which acts as a real bridge connecting organisations, activities and opportunities to help across borders.
This makes international adoptions possible, links the work of different foundations and enables a faster response where help is most needed.
New hope. Without borders. Morusek – Neue Hoffnung is the international branch of Morusek Foundation, connecting Poland with Europe and giving animals a real chance at a new life.
Hunde Hilfe Polen e.V. has supported our work for years — within its means, but always with tremendous commitment.
Thanks to HHP’s support, part of the infrastructure at the Shelter for Homeless Animals in Skaryszew was expanded, numerous dog kennels were purchased, and a unique place — “Staruszkowo” — was created.
“Staruszkowo” is a space where senior dogs have peace, safety, warmth and a life away from shelter stress.
Animal transport is carried out in accordance with applicable regulations. Whenever possible, Wiola also supports Hunde Hilfe Polen e.V. as a volunteer. Thanks to authorisation under §11, she actively participates in transports, ensuring safety and the highest standards of care.

People & Animals United (PAU) supports our adoption work — within its capacity.
We know we can count on them. Wiola is also a member of PAU, which further strengthens the cooperation.
Morusek, Morusek – Neue Hoffnung, Hunde Hilfe Polen and People & Animals United together create a support system that works. Together we can do more.

Every adoption, every donation and every share matters. Morusek Foundation exists thanks to people who truly want to help animals and do not remain indifferent to their fate.
