ratujemyzwierzaki.pl/skazanyzaniewinnosc

For years, Pirat was tied on a very short chain among agricultural machinery. When the foundation arrived, it turned out that the dog had lost an eye after injuring himself on sharp sheet metal. He was removed with police assistance. He underwent eye-socket surgery, castration, tumour treatment and a long recovery. The animal-abuse case went to court and ended with a conviction.

Śnieżynka

Hit by a car · spinal injury
ratujemyzwierzaki.pl/uratujmy-sniezynke

Śnieżynka came under the foundation’s care after an intervention. She had most likely been hit by a car. This small female dog, weighing less than 10 kg, had a serious spinal injury, necrosis of the hind paw and pyometra. She needed stabilisation of the Th11/Th12 section, paw surgery and sterilisation. The treatment was costly, but thanks to the fundraiser the full amount was raised.

Count Dracula — Morusek Foundation dog suffering from babesiosis, March 2026
Recovered

Count Dracula

Babesiosis · sudden crisis
ratujemyzwierzaki.pl/hrabiadracula

Count Dracula’s condition deteriorated rapidly — he stopped eating, became weak and required urgent diagnostics. The clinic confirmed babesiosis. The results were very worrying: a dramatically low platelet count, dark urine and an enlarged spleen. This disease can kill a dog in a very short time, so the foundation immediately launched a fundraiser for treatment.

Pirat — Morusek Foundation dog after treatment, healthy and calm
Criminal case won
How the foundation works

Pirat — the foundation stood in his defence also before the court

For years, Pirat was tied on a very short chain among agricultural machinery. He lost an eye after injuring himself on sharp sheet metal. Morusek Foundation removed him with police assistance and helped initiate criminal proceedings against those responsible for harming him.

After the intervention, Pirat underwent eye-socket surgery, castration and long treatment. Gradually he recovered, regained strength and found a new home abroad. The entire case ended with a conviction.

Removal with police assistance The Radom Police Station provided support during the intervention and helped initiate criminal proceedings.
Surgery and many weeks of treatment Removal of the testes, cleaning of the eye socket, histopathological examination, further treatment and specialist food.
Conviction The foundation later reported that the animal-abuse case concerning Pirat ended in victory.
